Hiroyuki Kuno (Nagoya University) talked about:
Lesson Study and recent national curriculum reform in Japan.

This form of practice-based research, originating in Japan, has been effective in encouraging
both teacher development and curriculum development within schools, and now has a
world-wide following.


Professor Kuno's research interests include Lesson Study and Lesson Analysis,
in particular “Integrated-Learning” and school-based curriculum development.


He is the chair of the organising committee for the World Association
of Lesson Studies' 2017 International Conference at Nagoya University
at the end of November.
