Learners' Acquisition of Language at Different Stages of Development

More than 50 participants and presenters joined this first joint seminar bringing together the two chapters as symbolized by this picture of Toyohashi past president, Martha Robertson, and Hamamatsu Programme Chair, Jon Dujmovich.  They are standing in front of Jon's poster presentation:

Variety was the watchword, with presentations ranging from elementary school learners to
long-term older learners.  Here, Masako Nakamichi, who showed activities in English and Spanish,
demonstrates an activity for elementary school learners with a willing volunteer, while Jim Matchett
relates experiences in Japan and abroad with his long-term learners:
