December’s meeting featured presentations by some of our local professionals.  Following the presentations, we held our annual Christmas party / 'bonenkai'.

Presentation One:

Voice Thread Workshop

Voice Thread is a collaborative web-based media application, which allows asynchronous interaction through video, voice, and text commenting. It enables students to participate in digital conversations which center around shared images, presentations and documents. This workshop will introduce the basics of Voice Thread and suggest ways of utilizing it to promote second language learning.

Presentation Two:
Andrew Kean

CEFR, CLB and other Can-do lists

This presentation will show the different types of can-do lists that are made by various organizations and how they can be used to help students focus on achieving small goals towards mastering English. Can-do lists made by teachers will also be discussed and how students have reacted to using each type of can-do list
