I was so glad to have an opportunity to visit
Mr. Robins's family in Eastbourne, to know English life]style
and to have a wonderful time with them.
Jane Austen, one of my favourite writers, always described the
beautiful English countryside in her novels, and it had been my
dream to visit such a place. So when the train was passing through
the beautiful green grass fields, the quiet forests and the small
towns, I was so excited. As I thought, around Eastbourne was such
lovely countryside.
…EMr. Robins's family welcomed me. I appreciated
them taking time out of their very busy schedules for me.
After we had lunch, Gordon, Mr. Robins's father, and Theresa,
Mr. Robins's mother, showed me around the town. Eastbourne is
a town by the sea, so I could enjoy seeing beautiful emerald water
and magnificent vast panoramas of cliffs. In addition, pretty
brick houses and the spacious area made me feel at ease. Here
is a lovely place, indeed
…FTheresa showed me the traditional English afternoon
tea style. She brewed a cup of milk tea and I was deeply moved
by the deliciousness of it. I had never had such a wonderful tea
before.
With Mr. and Mrs. Robins and Ben, Mr. Robins's brother.
…GGordon likes drawing and painting pictures and so do I. We showed our works to each other. He is a really good painter. I like the scenery of Italy which he painted there the best among his works.
