Exploring the town
Stately brick buildings and quiet and wooded parks welcomed me. I walked about the streets of London without consulting maps. I thought if people saw me looking at a map, they would understand I am a traveller and might steal my money. As a result, I succeeded in being regarded as a citizen in the town. Moreover, they asked me the way everyday. Even three hours after I arrived in the U.K., a man said to me, "Please show me how to get to the station. I did not know, either!!"
I visited many famous places and I would like to introduce some of them.

The British Museum
When I went to the British Museum, I found that U.S. President George W. Bush was there! So we had to come into the Museum through a special exit. The Museum displays so many precious exhibits from all over the world. You can meet the real things which you have seen only in books and feel the long and grand history of mankind. I was so excited when I saw the Rosetta Stone.

…CThe Houses of Parliament
The Houses of Parliament are famous for the Big Ben. This building also appears in Peter Pan, so I think many people know this place. I heaved a sigh when I saw the beautiful and stately building. It makes a great contrast with the Thames which runs sluggishly.

…DThe British Library
The British Library may be not so famous for the tourists. However, if you like books or music, I can very confidently recommend visiting this Library. With regard to me, I love both books and music so I spent a comfortable time there. To my surprise, we can see original books by famous authors such as Louis Carroll, W.B.Yeats and James Joyce; the first edition of works of Shakespeare; music written by the Beatles. We can also enjoy listening to recitations of famous works and the Beatles's songs.
