I've been in Toyohashi for 12 years.
I think Toyohashi is a very nice place to live because there is
a lot of nature, and people in Toyohashi are very friendly. There
are about 370,000 people in Toyohashi.
If people visit Toyohashi, they
should go to Toyohashi
Zoo and Botanical Park.

The Toyohashi Zoo and Botanical Park is composed of several specific gardens: African Garden,Zoo Garden,Polar Animal Pavilion, and Botanical Garden. There is an observatory tower and restaurant. I go there a few times a year. I like the Botanical Park in spring because many kind of flowers are in bloom.
There is a Museum of Natural History in the park. The central exhibit of the museum is a fossil of Anatosaurus, and people can learn about the working of nature and how biological organisms evolved at the museum.
Life Port Toyohashi is a new building which stands at the entrance of the Jinno Pier at the Port of Toyohashi. Life Port Toyohashi serves as a base for the lifetime learning activities of the citizens of Toyohashi. The facilities within the building are the Labor Hall, the Concert Hall, and the Medium Hall. When I was in junior high school, we had a chorus contest.
Toyohashi's Public Hall was constructed in August 1931, and the architecture of the building is in the Romanesque style. The sophisticated style of the building is a symbol of Toyohashi City. The building is used variously for music performances, plays, and lectures.
