The Zemi Experience 2009-10
My undergraduate zemi (tutorial)
group in the 2009-2010 academic year involved four students:
Hitomi: Adult Education in the UK
Kazushi: Speaking and speaking tests in Japan
Miyako: A Comparison of Reading Habits between the UK and Japan
Sawa: Jamie Oliver and school lunches
Just before the final stage of interviews on Wednesday 10th February,
Miyako wrote about her
experience:
The most impressive thing is
that I wrote and finished my graduation thesis. Before entering
this university, I couldn't imagine writing long essays in
English....As I took your class, I had to use and
write in English all
the time....Thanks to your class, I became accustomed to the
environment of
using English. I also learned from the graduation thesis
about keeping on time whatever I do.
I had to prepare materials
and plan how to manage time. I want to advise other students how
to
do their graduation theses and to prepare in the summer vacation.
