Presentation 1: Extending Your Reach With Moodle Materials
As a CMS/LMS, Moodle has a proven track record for being flexible, time-saving and efficient for monitoring students' progress. By blending print and digital materials, students and instructors alike have benefited by an extended "teaching reach" through this learning environment. However, teachers may lack the necessary resources to create Moodle content to accompany core texts. But what if materials were already created and available for use in class? Rika will introduce a project Cengage Learning is developing to provide complimentary Moodle content that can be offered to institutions and accessed across different platforms including tablets and smartphones.

Presentation 2: Pathways to the World
The earth's population has now reached 7 billion people, and our students are at the frontier of a truly globalizing world. As instructors, we have a responsibility to adequately prepare students if they are to play a major role in these rapidly changing times. But how can we equip them to accomplish their goals? Developing good communication skills, critical thinking skills, presentation skills, and an open-mindedness to cultural diversity are all key elements of ensuring our students' success. In this workshop, Rika shared some ideas on how a carefully chosen EFL text can set students on the right path to achieving growth in these areas.

Raffle prizes will be offered during the break.
