There is no meeting in November, as it
is the time for the Annual JALT Conference Why not
join in?
October's meeting was:
Using Video
and Audio Files for Language Teaching
on Sunday, 18 October 2009
Speaker: Ruth Reichert
In this presentation, Ruth shared ideas about using audio and video
files in a language class. She described the technical side of
creating those files and gave a tutorial on using “Audacity,” an audio
editor and recording application which can be used to produce podcasts.
With “Audacity” your own podcast will become more interesting because
music and other sounds can be integrated after recording.
Ruth also
presented audio and video files, illustrated ways to apply them to
language lessons, and discussed the usability of video and audio files
as
a tool for language learning.
