The topic: Teaching Young Learners, and Teaching Phonics

Our presenter was a teacher with a lot of experience in helping young learners to acquire English, and his presentation was very practical and participative:

In the first half of this presentation, principles of successful EFL lessons were explained and demonstrated. Although the context is young learners, these principles apply to adults as well. The second half explained the importance of phonics, and demonstrate methods of teaching it. There will be time for questions.

The speaker:

Peter Warner grew up in the USA, and has been coaching Japanese students to use English since 1991. He lives in Nagoya with his wife and son, and together they operate a small school, At Home English, in Tempaku. He teaches six days a week, and is currently the regional coordinator of ETJ-Aichi.
