Our July Meeting

was on Sunday 17th July - 1.30 to 4.00
at Aichi University's Toyohashi Campus: Building 5 (Room 541).

Nicholas Bradley (Nagoya GaiDai)

spoke on Teachers' Beliefs on Culture.

Based on work for his PhD, he described how a great deal of literature has been produced highlighting the importance
of culture as a part of language teaching and how as a result of this growing awareness, many textbooks, teacher resources
and guides have been produced to assist teachers who want to raise students’ awareness of culture but are a little
unsure about how to do it. He also described results from questionnaires and interviews which he has done.
