October
Meeting
On Sunday 24th October, Jack Ryan talked about:
Information
Gap Activities: Theoretical Support and Effective Use

Information gap activities have long
played an important role in English conversation classrooms.
However, a surprising number of
teachers don't use information gaps in their classes.
Jack discussed some
of the research supporting the use of information gap activities in
English conversation
classes and shared examples of various types of info gaps.
Participants enjoyed being involved

and also discussed the
practicalities of designing info gaps and managing their use in the
classroom.
Jack Ryan is an associate professor
at Aichi University (Toyohashi Campus).
How about September's meeting?
