Our Precious Memories in Australia !!

Nozomi Seki and Ayako Miyazaki

We went to Australia during last spring vacation. We spent two weeks together and had a very good time.

We both stayed with host families in Manly. Both host families were very kind.
We'll tell you about Manly. Manly is famous for many beautiful beaches. It is called "a mecca of surfing".
In Manly, there is a main street whose name is Corso Street. There are many shops of surfing goods, foods and so on. This street is crowded with many visitors and Australians on holiday.
We went to the same school "International House Sydney." Our campus is located at Sydney's favorite surfing and tourist resort. It features spacious recreation areas and panoramic views of the harbour and beach, and is just a short trip from the city centre by car or ferry. Our school offered us many club activities. For example tennis, football, bush walk, surfing, beach volleyball, party on a cruiser, barbecue (barbie), and dinner at the AMP Tower. We enjoyed participating in various activities.

Night Party Precious Memories in Australia

Surfing
We surfboarded on Friday. This was the first experience for us. It was too difficult for us to stand on the surfboard. The great waves in Manly were not in the same class as those in Japan. However it made us more excited and we were absorbed in it.

Dinner at the AMP Tower
One night we went to the city centre to have dinner with schoolmates. A part of the tower is Australia's most spectacular revolving restaurant. We could experience breathtaking 360 degrees views of the city, plus the coastal beaches and Blue Mountains in the distance. We went up the tower and had a buffet party. It was delicious. We could look down on the fantastic night view from the top of the tower. We were satisfied with them very much.
Please look at the picture below. It's the highest tower in Sydney!
