During the spring vacation,I stayed in New Zealand. This country is very far from Japan, and it took me about 16 hours to go there by air.At first,I felt at ease because this was the first stay abroad, but I was able to experience lots of pleasant things. The most exciting one is sky-diving. Including this, I was often touched by great views there. And I was surprised at 2 big differences between Japan and N.Z. One is the differences of prices. Various things cost me much less there than Japan. So I used taxis when I went downtown. The other is it is illegal to ride a bicycle without wearing a helmet. In comparison to Japan, the transportation system ,such as bus and train services, is worse. By the way, the most important memory was to meet and make lots of friends. Not to mention Japanese, I was glad to make Korean friends. They're sociable and friendly. Before I met them, I'd misunderstood them. I thought that they don't like Japanese because of the previous invasion. When I came back to Japan, I was so sad to say good-bye to them. Now, I continue to get in touch with them by e-mail. Friends I made in Auckland are the most precious treasures for me. At first, I chose N.Z. because of the low prices and mild climate. But, great experiences enable me to be sure this was a good choice.
