Colin Brown
Colin's links with Japan stretch back over half a century, so he has seen many changes take place. He first came to Japan as a driver in the RAF (Royal Air Force). During the occupation period after World War 2, he was with the Commonwealth forces who were in Western Japan and was stationed at the port of Kure, near Hiroshima. Among his duties was film projectionist and collecting films from other bases gave him an opportunity to enjoy one of his favourite pastimes, train travel. Colin came to the first day of classes in the new academic year in 2000 and found out about students' backgrounds and interests.
