Ayami Ando reports:
On September 17th, Mr.Paul Robins visited our lesson. His talk was very interesting so I still remember well. He has worked in Kenya,Uganda and Zimbabwe for 26 years. Of course, he liked it and even though he went back to England, he returned to these countries. There were a lot of differences between these African countries and Japan. I was surprised at the schools. He told us that they were made of mud, metal and so on. If it rained, the sound was very loud and teachers couldn't help stopping lessons.I knew that conditions for students were quite bad. In spite of that, students were very keen in class. Another thing that I was surprised about was that when he went to Kenya, local families often gave him presents of chickens, sheep and so on. It is quite different from Japan.
