We asked our classmates "Why do you think Japanese are so keen on 'brand goods' ?" We got several answers but they were almost the same. We could find two main points. First, Japanese people are relatively rich, so they can afford to buy brand goods. Second, Japanese people like having status, for that reason they want to have brand goods.
