"I went to EXPO last Wednesday (1st.June)
with my girlfriend.
The reason why we went there last Wednesday is her university
had its foundation day, so we decided to go there that day. Usually
I get up at 7:30, but that day, I had to get up at 6:00. It was
very hard for me. At the EXPO, there were a lot of places and
things to see or to experience. As you know, there are corporate
pavilions and they are very attractive for us, but our main purpose
was to see foreign pavilions.
We entered many foreign pavilions, Saudi Arabia,
India, Turkey, Lithuania, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, China,
Philippines, almost all of Africa, islands in the Pacific, and
so on. Also we got some presents when we entered foreign pavilions.
For example, when we entered the Bulgarian pavilion, we got a
paper, which becomes a pretty hat. A lot of people put on this
hat at the EXPO. Also when we entered the Egyptian pavilion, we
got a cute fan. It was very useful there.
Of course we entered Britain's pavilion. Britain pavilion's
theme is the English garden. There was a very beautiful place
for us, so we rested there about 10 minutes. We could enjoy the
scenic beauties of a British garden.
Every pavilion has local assistants, so we could enjoy communicating
with many foreign people who especially use English. Therefore
we tried to communicate with them using English, but it was difficult
for us. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful experience. I felt the
importance of studying English afresh.
On the other hand, we enjoyed eating. My girlfriend likes
eating very much. After all, we ate Turkish kebabs, French tart,
Bulgarian Yoghurt soft cream, African black coffee, coconut juice,
cosyari(Egyptian food), and so on.
It was only one day, but we had a lot of experiences. I want
to go to the EXPO again, and if I have the opportunity, I want
to go abroad and experience many things which are different from
Japan.
