Teaching Practice

"My most memorable experience in my university days was teaching practice which took place from 31st May to 25th June. I was at this university's attached high school. I took charge of a 3rd grade class. They were so vigorous and active, so when I saw them for the first time, I was a little surprised and felt a little wary. However, the more I spent the days of teaching practice and talked with my students, the more I found out that they had very kind and gentle hearts. They never blamed me even when I couldn't do a good class. On the contrary, they gave me gentle words and cheered me up. I was helped by their attitude and smiles, and was very moved.

Also, my teaching practice friends were very good. They were loyal with strong supportive feelings, so we helped and supported each other any time. I made good friends whom I communicate with even now. I think this experience will be a very precious one in my life because I could meet people who I can call my best friends.

Moreover, my counsellor was a very good man. He guided me kindly and gently towards a good class environment and content. Before starting, I had poor knowledge and consciousness of what it is to be a teacher. He taught me the professionality of being a teacher, something which remains with me.

In these ways, my experience of teaching practice was a very good one. I want to take advantage of it in my future.
