Tammy Chan and Scott Combs

For the final World Education class on 11th August, two former
exchange students joined to talk about education in the places
where they come from, both from their own experience and more
widely.

Tammy:

Tammy was at AUE eleven years ago, when she was a student at
Hong Kong Institute of Education (now Hong Kong Education University).
She later studied on a master's course and now teaches Mandarin Chinese
(Putonghua) at a primary school in Hong Kong.

She was the second teacher from Hong Kong to talk to the class, Kathy Wong.

Scott:

Scott joined again, two weeks after his previous visit. He was at AUE just
over nine years ago, when he was a student at Ball State University in Indiana.
After studying on a master's course in Hawaii, he taught English in various
contrasting locations and now teaches in Gfu, the next prefecture to Aichi.
