June 2019 Picture of the Month

This month's picture shows a view of Kobe in Hyogo Prefecture from a reclaimed area, Port Island on 2nd June.
Kobe has a population of more than 1.5 million. It was a key location for interaction with other countries, remains
a major port and was hit by a major earthquake in 1995.
