February 2019 Hong Kong Study Tour
The second school we visited, on 15th
February, was the Pentecostal Yu Leung Fat Primary
School in Fanling, as shown here:

We arrived early to see morning assembly with half of the school's
students and had a tour of
the school's facilities. The school included many signs
encouraging students, as shown here with
Tony Ryan pointing to his favourite word:

We also learned about the school's English curriculum and saw two
classes. One was by
a local teacher and focussed on her trip to Tokyo. Students
(school students and our students)
could answer quiz questions using this kind of simple QR code:

The second class was by a N.E.T. (Native English Teacher) and
included some phonics
and use of a 'big book'.
We appreciate everybody's help with this visit.

We particularly thank Tammy, a former exchange student who is now
teaching there, and Lisa, head of the
English panel. We enjoyed sharing conversation at lunch
afterwards.
