2016-17 'zemi' students and topics:
Three students finished their graduation
theses before graduating in Spring 2017:
Ayumi wrote
about 'A Comparison of Foreign Language Education between Japan
and the UK'.
She chose this topic because of her own experience of studying
German while studying abroad
at a university in the UK.
Hiroyuki wrote about 'Refugees in Britain'.
He chose this topic because of his future employment which will be
concerned with the issue
of refugees. In spite of the title, he also covered attitudes in
other countries towards refugees,
including Canada, Hungary and Japan.
Mayo wrote about 'The Changing Face of Japanese Migration to
Canada'.
She chose this topic because she had studied abroad in Canada. She
also returned there on a
trip to gather material.
Ayumi, Hiroyuki and Mayo can be seen here
with other zemi members, Haruyuki and Misaki,
who will reurn to the zemi after periods of study abroad and aim
to graduate in Spring 2018.
